Still life styling at Frameless

Frameless is quite literally a blank canvas and when it first launched we were thrilled to be invited to design a series of tablescapes to promote the space. Our creative inspiration was Vincent van Gogh’s Sunflower Series in which the artist explored the use of colour in numerous shades.

We sourced handmade ceramic and stoneware to hold the textural stems of sunflowers, mimosa, solidago and kangaroo paw, filling the tables with sunshine and drama. Candles added atmosphere and a beautiful glow, enhancing the shades of gold in the flowers. Caterer Rhubarb took care of the linens and tableware working alongside us so that everything meshed together. The backdrop was the work The Starry Night, wrapping the space from floor to ceiling with the moon and stars.
